AFRICAN CARIBBEAN COUNCIL ON HIV/AIDS IN ONTARIO (ACCHO)
ACCHO provides leadership in the response to HIV/AIDS in African, Caribbean and Black (ACB) communities in Ontario. It is a provincial coalition of organizations and individuals committed to HIV prevention, education, advocacy, research, treatment, care and support for ACB communities.

ACO provides support programs, drop-in sessions, street-outreach, one-on-one support, financial

ACT is a non-profit organization that provides information on HIV, AIDS, and safer sex. ACT has

BLACK COALITION FOR AIDS PREVENTION (BLACK CAP)
Black CAP works to respond to the threat of HIV and AIDS in Toronto’s African, Caribbean and Black
communities. ‘Because All Black People’s Lives Are Important‘ is the motto that guides the
organization’s work and serves as a reminder of their commitment to the human rights and dignity of all
Black people who are vulnerable to HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Canadians of African Descent Health Organization (CADHO)
CADHO is a not-for-profit organization created to improve the health and healthcare of the Canadians of African Descent (CAD) through transformative community engagement. The organization provides Health support services, Information, Navigation and resources for African, Caribbean and Black community. CADHO seeks to advance health equity, and foster community development with the ultimate goal of addressing barriers such as racism in health and health care of Canadians of African descent.

COMMITTEE FOR ACCESSIBLE AIDS TREATMENT (CAAT)
CAAT is a coalition of several Ontario based organizations from the legal, health, settlement and
HIV/AIDS sectors formed to improve treatment and service access for marginalized people with
HIV/AIDS. CAAT is committed to promoting the health and wellbeing of people living with HIV who are
facing access barriers related to their status using the tolls of education, training, research coordination and advocacy.

CATIE
CATIE strengthens Canada’s response to HIV and hepatitis C by bridging research and practice. It connects healthcare and community-based service providers with the latest science and promotes good practices for prevention and treatment programs. CATIE is known as Canada’s official knowledge broker for HIV and hepatitis C information.

GAY MEN’S SEXUAL HEALTH ALLIANCE (GMSH)
GMSH is a network of front-line workers, HIV researchers, public health, policy makers and community members responding to gay men’s sexual health in Ontario. The GMSH works to establish long-term, goal oriented, evidence-based strategies, tools, policies and programs that will effectively assist all people committed to ensuring that gay and bisexual men in our communities enjoy healthy, full sexual and emotional lives.

HIV & AIDS LEGAL CLINIC ONTARIO (HALCO)
HALCO provides free legal services to people with HIV/AIDS in Ontario. As people who are diagnosed
with HIV can have a wide variety of legal questions, from concerns relating to disclosure, privacy, access to health care and immigration law, to social assistance and employment-related questions, kindly refer
everyone who has been diagnosed with HIV to HALCO for free legal advice.

INTERAGENCY COALITION ON AIDS AND DEVELOPMENT (ICAD)
ICAD is a coalition of approximately 100 AIDS service organizations, non-governmental organizations,
faith-based organizations, educational institutions, labour unions and individuals. The organization aims at bringing together AIDS service organizations and international development organizations to address the HIV/AIDS crisis.

ONTARIO AIDS NETWORK (OAN)
OAN is a coalition AIDS service organization and AIDS service programs that work collectively to provide a just, effective response to HIV and AIDS, improve life for people infected with and affected by HIV and AIDS, and prevent the spread of the virus. The organization has created opportunities for people with HIV and AIDS and community-based organizations to share experience and develop new skills.

REGENT PARK COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE (RPCHC)
RPCHC aims to improve the health and well being of people who live and work in the area and the whole community at large. The Centre offers a range of services including:

SANDY HILL COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE (SHCHC)
SHCHHC provides rapid, anonymous HIV testing, harm reduction supplies, and a variety of medical clinics and support groups.

SITE NEEDLE & SYRINGE PROGRAM
Site Needle and Syringe Program provides harm reduction supplies, helps reduce harm to people who
use drugs, helps protect the community and provides a safe disposal in Ottawa. This is done by
distributing supplies such as needles for safer drug use, teaching about safer drug use and referring
people to other health and social services. These services are available Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to
4:30 p.m.

SITE MOBILE VAN
Site Mobile Van travels to various locations within the City of Ottawa, 7 days a week, 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. to provide harm reduction supplies and safe disposal. Collect calls accepted.

SOMERSET WEST COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE (SWCHC)
SWCHC is a non-profit, community-governed organization established in 1978 that provides specialized health services to people who face barriers, including:
-Outreach to seniors, rooming house tenants and those who are homeless
-Culturally adapted and language-specific physical and mental health supports
-Point of care HIV and Hepatitis C testing
-Lung health and chronic disease management
-Same-day walk-in appointments for health care and social service supports
-Health care for new Canadians, immigrants and refugees

TAIBU COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE (TAIBU CHC)
TAIBU CHC provides primary health care and related services for Black populations across the Greater Toronto Area as its priority population and residents of the local community of Malvern. Recognizing that systematic oppression has fostered conditions of ill-health within Black communities, TAIBU CHC strives to deliver these services through intersectional, equity-based and culturally affirming practices which promote holistic wellness, health education and prevention.

WOMEN’S HEALTH IN WOMEN’S HANDS COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE (WHIWH CHC)
The mandate of WHWIH CHC is to provide primary healthcare to racialized women from the African, Black, Caribbean, Latin America and South Asian communities in Toronto and surrounding municipalities.
